MPPSC is conducted every year by the Madhya Pradesh government for the recruitment of various posts of state civil services. MPPSC is conducted for various civil service posts like collector, Deputy Collector, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Superintendent, District Jail, Commercial Tax Officer, District Registrar, Chief Municipal Officer, Assistant Director, Assistant Director, District Supply Officer, Assistant Director, Child Development Project Officer and Assistant Regional Transport Officer.
MPPSC is conducted in two stages, the preliminary exam and the main exam, following as the IAS exam pattern aspirants. Candidates of age 21 to 40 year are eligible to apply for MPPSC State Service Preliminary Exam. Graduation in any equivalent qualification from a recognized university incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India is compulsory to all the participative candidates.

1st Paper Syllabus (200 marks) Duration: 2 hours

Geography of India.
Indian Polity & Economy.
Geography, History and Culture of MP.
Polity and Economy of Madhya Pradesh.
Information & Communication Technology.
Schedule Caste & Schedule Tribe and Protection of Civil Rights Act, 1993.
2nd Paper Syllabus (200 marks) Duration: 2 hours
Interpersonal skills including communication skills.
Logical reasoning and analytical ability.
Decision-making and problem solving.
General Mental Ability, Basic Numeracy, Data Interpretation.
Basic numeracy like numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude etc.
Data interpretation of charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc.
Hindi Language Comprehension Skill (class 10th level).
